What is your question?
I just purchased this car, used, with just over 230,000 miles on it. The car runs smoothly, is good on mpg, and runs better than it looks. However, the dim bulb on the drivers side is $95!! Is there any more economical way to get this repaired? I been told the bulbs are specific to the car, but, then have seen similar bulbs for less than $20/each. Also, I'm convused by the "H" scale, or whatever that means...Other questions are about the transmission fluid: I know it needs to be changed, but, should I change it in three intervals, starting with the filter first, and adding a bit of fluid, running it for about 3000 miles, doing the same again, for about 3 times, so as not to "shock" the transmission? I understand this car can last me a very long time if I take good care of it...and I don't want to run it down before it reaches 350,000 miles! I just hope I can get it there with a little TLC. I just don't have a lot of money to put into repairs on a car. HELP! Thank you!

Apologies if this seems insensitive or misunderstood -- but $95 for any repair on a vehicle in 2021 is a very very reasonable and inexpensive repair. I'm not sure how to resolve your "dim bulb" cheaper, anywhere. Not sure what "H scale" is. Transmissions on Acura's only get drained and filled - not flushed. No filter to change here. Just loosen the drain plug, empty the 3-4 quarts of fluid that will come out, and refill those 3-4 quarts to the full line on the dipstick. That's it.
Excuse me, but, $95 for a low beam light bulb is a bit high, I dont' care what day and age you live in. It's not a reasonable price for a light bulb. and, you can keep your "dim bulb" responses to yourself. And, if you dont' know what and "H" scale is, there are 1,2,3, and others as a part of it. As far as the transmission fluid is concerned, there IS a transmission fluid filter. My car has over 230,000 miles on it, and it needs a full change on fluids, if it wasn't done before, it needs to be done now. Just draining it and changing it can throw the transmission into "shock", from what I understand, and I don't want to take that chance. So, please, before you come at me with that kind of "hey, dumbulb, you know nothing about cars", you should realize I'm trying to do a bit of homework before I cause any damage to this otherwise great car I just bought two weeks ago. I have other maintenance issues I need to get to, and I'm trying to take them as a matter of importance, rather than a matter of aesthetics first. The car runs better than it looks, and I want to be sure it's stable before I start any body work on a car that could possibly give me another 200,000 miles. So, your "advice" is actually nothing more than a snarky way of hearing your own voice. Thank you for your time, though. It's a few minutes you'll never get back. Your remarks WERE insensitive and I didn't misunderstand anything about your snarkiness. You obviously put a lot of effort in talking down to people. But, fyi, I'm not the person you want to talk to that way.
One more thing, I might add: I am on a very limited income, so, I'm trying to do this as much as I can with the help of a friend. I've looked up the lights (Halogen, which is the "H", by the way, I thought you would have figured that much out by now), as well as the cost of the bulbs range from $10 to $95. I've also understood the oil as well as the ATF can be "specific" to the car...as for the oil, most 5w-20 synthetic, as well as ATF-D1 is what I need...I also figured out how to reset the anti-theft code on the radio and it works fine now...the blower for the AC/Heatwas said to not be working, but, I found it was a loose connection, which, solved that problem. So, for $1000, I say I got my monies worth on it. Other than that, yeah...not everyone can afford to pull out that much for a light bulb...it doesn't take an entire crew of people to change a lightbulb, y'know. so, if I get 1 year out of $10 halogen bulb, and have to replace it every year, as opposed to paying $95 for one that never dies before the car does, well, I lost money. See, I do my research...and your profile says you know all about these cars. Well, looks like I know more in 2 weeks than you do as a professional mechanic....and, well...you would have charged me $150 to put in that $95 bulb by taking the front bumper and frame off, rather than going in through the back of the light housing...and, yes, the left turn signal is another that needs work, but, I've got the work-around for that one, too.
I'm sorry you feel you need to be adversarial in response to someone trying to help. Good luck to you.
You've got it all figured out, I'm happy to hear.
