What is your question?
Dealership has said (friend that is a single Widow) that by putting the car on the lift for a brake job, that the struts extend fully and can cause damage. And that they are not responsible for any such damage. Is there any "jigs" or other such tricks of the trade to get around this damage risk? Thanks in advance for the assistance.

no, do not worry about this. the suspension is loaded and the struts will be fine. Roy
Roy is right, the only thing I can think of is if the suspension has been lowered with aftermarket coil over shock suspension, on these the springs dislodge when the suspension is unloaded but it shouldn't be a problem if the dealer mechanics are competent.
