Noise from hood when steering is turned

Acura rdx 2007 is making a kindof drum noise or rumbling noise when steering is turned slightly or heavily, what could possibly be the culprit?

Start by checking the power steering fluid level and condition. You could also have a dust shield or inner fender liner rubbing on a tire. Hands on inspection is needed Alex
