P1053 engine code problem

I assume you are getting a p0153 not a p1053 if I am right. first did you use a OE part. does the vehicle have a exhaust leak before the sensor. I would ask did you do the relearn procedure. You clear the codes and start the car cold and run at 3000 rpm until the coolant fan comes on then let idle. If that does not work I would go to a qualified shop.
