I have a 2006 acura mdx 270k miles...just did valve adjustment , replaced egr valve, new radiator and hoses replaced today. 2hours later the engine light comes back on...however vtm4 light is still off. Also replaced coil packs n plugs 6mos ago. As for noises, my power steering whines but had that replaced 3yrs ago along with used tranny. Whine still comes n goes. Always have steering fluud full.
What makes this problem better or worse?
There is no better right now just repairing as i go.
How long has your 2006 Acura MDX had this problem?
Check engine light for at least 2 1/2 yrs...i know i know smh.

Hello, Power steering wine: Raise the front end of the vehicle and support with jack stands. Turn the engine on and turn the steering wheel all the way to one side, then all the way to the next, holding it for about 2 or 3 seconds at the point you can no longer turn it. Do that about 20 or 30 times to remove the air from the system. If the wine continues, you may have a bad steering rack, or some mechanical binding like a ball joint or tie rod end. As for the new check engine light, scan for trouble codes. Most auto parts stores do it for free, and that will help me help you.
