What is your question?
Our vehicle has only 27,300 miles but is 6 years old. We do mostly local driving so we did a pre-emptive brake pad replacement on both front and rear. A caliper seal was leaking so we had to do that replacement also. Does this seem early or is it a function of brake time like the pads?

27 is good mileage for pads if they are original. average mileage is about 15-20k. the seals are premature but with low mileage, moisture could have invaded the brake fluid and rusted up the seals. i suggest a complete flush of the brake fluid and inspect the rest of the system for failure. Roy
Thank you, Roy, for the prompt response and sound advice. I had the one caliper replaced and the system bled. For the very reason you cited (time versus mileage), I had the brake fluid flushed and replaced just a few months ago. It may be a fluke or it may come back to bite me.
