Anytime your shift lever will not release from the park position, it is indicative of a problem within the brake light switch circuit, which signals to the shift lever interlock to release the shift lever. Naturally, the shift lever interlock could be a problem as well, but since you mentioned the brake light switch already as being an area that has been addressed, it seems to me there may still be a problem in that circuit. With a VSA light illuminated, there are diagnostic trouble codes present in the processor for that system, which start with the letter "C", for chassis.
