What is your question?
So, I broke my cars shifter cable when I was swapping motors...oops. My car is an automatic 4-door Acura Integra LS. Well, I bought a new (used) cable from ebay and I didn't read the entire description when I bought it. Turns out it came off a 1998 integra COUPE. I know it sounds weird, but, I think the cable is too long.? I mean I can force it to fit but then it just hangs and bends in a very unsettling way. Also when I was taking the old cable out, the shift lever accidentally slid out of neutral and I'm not sure which direction it went... and I am so confused right now. I can move the gear control knob thingy inside the transmission manually with my fingers..but I don't know which gear is which and I basically need a diagram or something. Can anybody help me out??
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing makes it easier. It's as bad as it can get.
How long has your 1996 Acura Integra had this problem?
A few months
