What is your question?
The other day I got on the freeway and it began reving to really high rpms and not engaging in drive. I pulled over and started it again. It went into drive long enough for me to exit on the next exit and some homeless people kindly pushed it into the closest parking lot. We checked the transmission fluid and none was registering on dip stick. We have now out 7 and a half quartz into it as the manual says it should have and it appears to be at the proper level. It will go into all gears and drive however only for a short period of time. Then it won't kick into any of the gears at all. It appeared to be leaking fluid after we filled it up but that may be overflow or something. The check engine light goes off and on sometimes but had been on for a couple days prior to the transmission problem. Is there any chance the entire transmission does not need replaced?

if you drove that car very low or empty on transmission fluid, and i guess you did if it held 7.5 quarts to make it full read full, then the transmission is probably shot.the transmission fluid should be checked regularly just like the engine oil should be..never noticed any spots or puddles on the ground where you park your car daily/nightly? if the transmission is gone, then a rebuilt one will be around $2000.00 plus labor for the person/shop that changes it out,or cheaper for a used one at a scrap yard.
