It calls for high octane in my Acura, I use mid grade for 100K and see no difference but I would ask the dealer what consequences they have seen from any of there customers. Post the question on Acurazine its a great Acura forum.
absolutly not your car and engine was designed for maxium power and fuel econemy and engine life dont cheap out use prem fuel only . your car has a engine computer that knows as soon as you put in reg fuel by the knock sensor and it will retard the timing hence less power and less fuel econemy ( 30 year honda tech )
I just had a question about I noticed about a week ago my car has been trouble starting. It make a noise like it chugs or struggles to turn over and this morning it wouldn't even turn over it just makes like a ticking noise now so I got it towed and when the guy came he said it sounds like a timing chain?? Could it be? It's a 2006 tsx with 110000 km.
