Hesitation Due to Carbon Deposits in Intake System on Mitsubishi Eclipse

A hesitation/stumble or driveway dieout maybe noted when starting the engine cold. This can be caused by carbon deposits built up on various intake components - air flow sensor, air intake hose, air intake plenum, and intake manifold. These components should be inspected and cleaned as necessary. If heavy deposits are found on the intake valves the cylinder head may need to be removed for proper cleaning.
