What is your question?
Hello, I have a 1996 Chrysler LHS, and it is having air conditioning issues. My mechanic put a new condenser in, the cold air was working great for about 15 minutes and then all of a sudden it started squealing and smoking and the new condensers clutch broke. This is the second condenser that was put in with the same result. What is building up the pressure to cause this? I really appreciate your insight on this, if you know. Thank you, Julia

Hello, did your mechanic install a COMPRESSOR or a CONDENSER? There's a big difference here! Since you said the clutch broke, it sounds like we're talking about the compressor. All that said, system pressure builds up when there is a restriction -- often from a previously failed compressor. If this is the case, you'll need to replace each possibly contaminated component, or if possible "flush" the system. That's the only way to remove restrictions.
