Back passenger window dropped a few inches but corresponding power button wouldnt put window up. Then window just dropped into door. Took it for repair and was told that the little plastic piece was broken off by the wire being by it. Paid $300 for repair. One week later the driver's window dropped into door when I pushed power button to put window down. Had to drive 1 1/2 hours in 20 degree weather. After reading about this being a common problem, the repair man said the tracks are made cheaply, I feel this should be a recall item.I am going to contact Cadillac.
Rear passenger window then the from passenger window all with in 3 months apart. Very costly to fix, I just bought the window tool. Please wish me luck. Although my father was a master machanic in his time, I do the computer repair and NOT car repair, with the price of fixing I have to give it a try. I pray I don't make things worse. I agree this should be an recall. My warrenty out too. :-(
window regulators have been replaced 8 times. Two just two days ago. Windows regulators keep breaking in this car. Each repair is $400 or more. My warranty expired alreday.
Within 2 years all 4 window regulators broke down...this should be a recall item...try driving 100 miles in a snow storm with the window down, just to get home. Regulators "Made in Mexico".
Window failed to go back up had to take to dealer to put up and disable. Could not afford $350.00 charge to reapir. Has not worked in over a year.
2003 Deville Right Rear window dropped down inside door, would not raise but by manually pulling window up and push button it would pull window down. Don't know why? Thanks
The last failure (#3) occurred on the drivers door. Window failed to fully close and is making grinding sounds. Had the first two repairs made at GM Dealerships at a cost of over $800.00
I own a 08 dts just recently the rear pass window fell, I had the window rolled down a few inches nxt thing I knew the window was down completely I have two kids, this isn't safe and should be recalled and better manufacturered, I buy cadillac for quality and this is what I pay for. I will be attempting to fix it my self in hopes of saving $500. (My car payment already)
