Q: passenger side oil leak on 2006 Nissan Xterra

2-3 drips a day coming from front area, not oil filter. oil on pully and alternator. can not be seen from top end. isnt it too early for gaskets to be replaced? also making belt squeak when starting

The engine oil filter is on the passenger side front corner of the engine Make sure it is tight. The oil pressure switch is also in the passenger front side of the engine. Try tightening the valve cover bolts see if any of them are loose.
try to locate the source of the leak you may need a small mirror and small flashlight to locate the leak. If so wash the area down with engine degreaser or brake clean and see if you can pin point the exact source of the leak.
