This code can come on if the vehicle is run out of fuel. If so, clear the code and recheck operation. This code can come on if the sensor is fitting loosely in it's mounting. Inspect and verify it is secure. This code can come on when the wiring connector at the sensor is not secure or connected - check the connection, unplug, verify terminals look OK, re-secure. This code can come on due to out of date software with the engine's processor. None of the troubleshooting information indicates the sensor could be failed. I suppose anything is possible, but why not diagnose first? No diagnostic trouble code tells you to replace a part. It tells you what component is reading something erroneously. Troubleshooting is necessary.
