My engine check light came on and the car failed the emissions test. My mechanic told me I needed to replace the sensing units in front and aft of the catalytic converter. The emissions test was done again and passed. Now the engine check light has come on again. I have not brought the car back to the mechanic yet. Any suggestions?

The next step is to have the codes read out. It could be something related to the repairs, or something unrelated, but until you have the codes read out, you wont know. Some parts stores will read out codes for free, if you can have that done first, then post them we can give you an idea as to where the problem lies before you take your car back to the shop that performed the repairs.
