oil pressure low stop engine warning light what is the cause

This could be one of three things. Your oil pump is failing and losing its prime when the oil gets hot and thins up, your oil pressure sensor is bad or the wire to your pressure sensor is damaged and is sending false signal to ecm . Try checking the wiring going to the sensor or try changing out the oil pressure sensor. If its a failing pump and you have been driving it with no oil pressure then there is a chance you have severly damaged your motor. Stop driving it until you solve this issue.
