I just did a fresh oil change My car is a 2007 Buick loser with v8 North Star engine The car takes 7 and a 1/2 quarts of an engine oil I have put 7 and a 1/2 quarts of engine oil and for some reason the oil stopped popping up on the dipstick could this be a faulty oil pump?
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, oil does not "pump" up to a dipstick. If you have put the appropriate amount of oil into the engine and it does not show on the dipstick, it could be that the dipstick has fractured or there is some other issue where it is not seating properly. The dipstick measures the oil level in the oil pan alone, and has nothing to do with engine performance in and of itself. If you need assistance, seek the help of a shop near you.
