What is your question?
I had it checked by an oil change shop. Their findings- is that I have a bottem oil leak and need to replace the oil pan and gasket. By having this repair would it address the engine knocking at lower speeds and the rpms jumping up and down? I was also warned that the engine knocking was an early sign for transmission failure. I'm also at 191,000 miles. Sucks only had the truck for 2 weeks. Purchased as is.
What makes this problem better or worse?
The knocking usually occurs just moments from startup
How long has your 2011 Ford Flex had this problem?
It has been happening more frequently since last week

Hello, knocking? 191,000 miles? Did you have this vehicle inspected closely before purchasing? Buyer beware, definitely. If you have knocking, I'd evaluate what you're really into, because replacing an oil pan gasket if you need an engine seems like a waste. I don't know how an engine knock could be related to a transmission failure. I'd strongly recommend a skilled and experienced technician review your Flex with you.
