The Intake Airflow Position Sensor tells the engine control module (PCM) the position of the Diesel Intake Airflow Control Valve. When the PCM detects a problem with this sensor or the circuit for the sensor, it will set code P02E8. This sensor is replaced as a unit with the throttle body and is not serviceable separately.
