BMW 528i Problems

Noise From Top of Front/Rear Doors When Windows Are Fully Up on BMW 528i

Problem Description and Possible Solution

A creak or squeak can be heard from the top of the front or rear doors. This noise is most noticeable when the windows are fully up. The noise is caused by the decay of the flocking material on the door seals. New door seals, Teflon tape, special lube, or a combination of all of these may be needed to eliminate the noise.

Bought the car a few months ago (CPO). The dealer attempted to fix it but not resolved. Yesterday, another dealer attempted to fix this problem (cleaning seals and applying teflon tape) but already noticed creaking noise again (not as bad). Will bring it back until resolved. I had the same problem with a 07 530i and it was fixed, so I'm hopeful.
Creak in the driver's door when driving a low speeds, especially going over bumps, turning, or starting from a stop.
