Problem overview

Some BMW 528i owners report experiencing continuous reboots with the CCC unit, which may indicate a need for replacement due to unit failure. Additionally, they find that reprogramming the DME could be necessary alongside the replacement. Issues with faceplate pins have also been noted, prompting owners to check for correct seating of the pins. Furthermore, problems with the drive, such as bad sectors or startup failures, can contribute to these reboots or random shutdowns of the CCC unit. Owners are advised to act quickly to initiate the deletion function in iDrive, as the unit may reboot every 20 seconds.
