Engine cylinder misfire can be caused by a bad spark plug, bad spark plug wire or ignition coil, the triggering mechanism for the coil (ie wiring or computer issue), mechanical issues in the cylinder (low compression due to a worn cylinder bore or piston, or valve problem/clearance). Misfire can be caused by a bad fuel injector or intake manifold leak allowing in un-metered air. Its impossible to pinpoint the problem without being able to do basic diagnostic tests.
