My front transmission seal needs to be replaced, but I don't have access to a lift or transmission jack. About how much should I expect to pay for this service?

You will need more than just the front pump seal of the Transmission. When this goes out, it is often caused by a worn front pump bushing, which needs to be replaced as well. The time to remove and replace the trans is 8.5 hours. The seal and bushing is about $50-$75 however the shop needs to be sure that the front pump is still ok because if the bushing gets too worn out, it can damage the pump drive shaft to the point that it needs to be replaced as well which can be expensive.
