NEED ASEEMBLY/ DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DISTRIBUTOR

DIDN'T START...NO SPARK...REPLACED COIL PACK...CRANKS BUT WON'T TURN OVER...GOT NEW PICK UP COIL YET TO BE INSTALLED... DISTRIBUTOR NEEDS TO BE DISASSEMBLED FOR SERVICE...CANNOT GET GEAR SHAFT OUT...WHAT'S THE SECRET?? WHAT AM I NOT DOING RIGHT??

i agree with Ron on the reman distributor.
there is a special tool to remove the gear as it is pressed. i still have it and have not used it in years. the cost of the tool is more than the cost of the dist.

The drive at end of shaft needs removed to pull shaft. Usually held in place by roll pin. Make sure to mark shaft and gear location so goes back on in same place. You may be best served to install reman dist.
