Recently for about two weeks now I have noticed that my turn signals only work about 40% of the time. My hazards always work though. What should I be looking into to fix this problem? And earlier today when i was trying to work on this problem the battery got drained in my jeep, and I had to jumper cable it back to life. How should I fix this turn signal problem

A common problem with the jeep Grand Cherokee lamp issues are the contacts on the tail Lamp housings and lamp sockets overheating and distorting. this can be visually noticed by discolored contacts or melted plastic in the socket area. if this is the case, you will have to replace the taillamp housings. Another possible problem is your Multifunction Switch (turn signal switch).
The relay is under the dash on the driver's side. The dash needs to be removed and a new relay installed. That should fix the problem. Be careful what you touch under there because I ended up with my seatbelt light staying on.
I fixed my turn signal eratic operation by taking out the turn signal relay under your dash just above the fuse panel...( it is the relay sticking out the farthest) take the cover off of the relay and you will see all the tiny solder joints on the board. Just resolder all the small solder points, put the cover back on, and re-install the relay. Cost: $0.00 .............. new relay 30 to 50 dollars.
