I check the gas cap and light went off. The next day light came back on. Could the code be caused by the gas cap? Do i just need to take to dealer? I was told that this is covered by powertrain warranty. I just have to pay 119.00 for them to diagnose. I just dont want to pay unnnecessary money for something so siimple.
How long has your 2014 Chevrolet Malibu had this problem?

This code does not pertain to the gas cap. Its a code that sets when there is an issue with certain parts of the variable valve timing system. This should be covered under powertrain warranty if you still have it. Alex
Thank you, I will be going on tomorrow. Do you think i need to get another diagnostic done by the dealer? How long does it take to repair?
