my fob and alarm dont work just bought 2003 gt mustang and the fob doesnt work at all wont lock doors or set alarm tried reprogramming it and didnt work

I bought a 2003 gt mustang two door coupe 5 speed it came with a set of fobs and neither one of them work and the alarm doesn't work at all but I tried to reset the fobs so it would be connected but it doesn't reset so what to I need to do to figure out what is wrong with the alarm and why won't the doors even unlock with the fobs
