My car starts but won't cut off when I push the button what could this be

Hello, This is a strange issue for sure. It could be a wireless control module fault, very common with Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, but there are several components to tests before determining this. As a rule of thumb, when you have an issue with the keyless start or key fob, press the start/stop button with the key instead of your finger. If that does not work, the key battery may be low. Look in your owners manual for a location in the vehicle where you should insert or place the key before starting or stopping the engine. If these fail, time for diagnostics. Sorry to say, all the new smart key technology has a big downside, and this is it.
