my abs esp and check engine light came on . what does this mean.

The Anti-lock brakes, Traction Control system and engine control system have a fault which is stored in the memory of the computer in your car but requires a scan tool to retrieve. It is the same diagnostic connector used to retrieve "engine trouble codes" . Many sensors serve more than one purpose, and are shared between brakes, traction control, engine and transmission management so although multiple lights are on it is likely to be one sensor causing the problem.

it means your car has the obd2 trouble code table, you need to use the scan tool to diagnose out the code.
