My 2006 Chrysler 300c 5.7 l Hemi is having stalling issues.

(2006 Chrysler 300)
My 2006 Chrysler 300c 5.7 l Hemi is having stalling issues. I have been dealing with this issue and can't seem to find the right fix. I called Chrysler customer service and I was told that they are aware of the issue and that the issue is the gas tank. So they extended the warranty on the gas tank and I brought it to the dealership to be changed.

After the change (gas tank) the car still stalls and it started making a strange sound which was not there before the dealership worked on it. I brought it back and they said they think it's the transmission and it would be $1200+ labor cost to take it apart and investigate. I told them I would get a second opinion and drove it from there to a transmission shop. The transmission shop said that there isn't anything wrong w/ the transmission and it is an ecm problem that needs to be changed.

I found that there is a recall on mini vans with the same stalling issues, but i don' t see my model listed. Any insights on this issue?

Question, does the stalling typically occur as you are coming to a stop? Most Chrysler 5.7L stalling issues of this type are caused by dirty throttle plate. This would need to be cleaned, front & back (with battery disconnected and ignition key off) . Once cleaning is complete and battery is reconnected, vehicle will need about 5 minutes driving to relearn idle. If this is NOT the type of stalling problem you are experiencing (or this fix doesn't resolve the problem), then the vehicle would need to be diagnosed, as there are multiple other things that can cause a vehicle to stall. Thanks for the response. The car stops at traffic lights, while idle, and sometimes while driving at low speeds, It is not the transmission and changing the fuel tank did not fix the problem. It has been diagnosed by the dealership and these are the stored codes U0100, B210D, I took it to a second shop that can't figure out this issue either. They want to change and reprogram the ecm, but after reading forums from owners with the same problem this doesn't seem to be the fix either.

I go back to the suggestion to clean the throttle plate. We can do that here at our shop if you'd like (about $65) Cliff recommends that prior to diagnosis.
As for the two codes those can be diagnosed; have they occurred more than once?

What plugs are in this car? Are they stock NGK? The stock plugs have a certain resistance across them thats not the same as any aftermarket plugs. When the car senses the difference when stopped, it activates the auto shutdown relay, which kills the engine.
I found this out after I put Bosch plugs in my Jeep SRT8 and it stalled in Taco Bells drive thru.

I also have a 2006 Chrysler Hemi that stalls, but only after I fill the gas tank. After running smoothly for a minute or two it will stall at idle a few times if I am running it in a parking lot. It will stall a few times at high speed if I drive from the Costco gas station right onto Rt 80, but at that speed it restarts itself with a jerk or two. This occurs in the first five/eight minutes when at idle and three/five minutes when at high speed. It doesn't matter whether I fill the tank partially, whether I fill it from low or middle level to full. It occurs every time. My local repair shop checked the (something) valve and found it was okay; they said their research says they would need to change the gas tank. I've owned it about two years, it has only 65,000 miles on the odometer, and I've done nothing except drive it defensively. Maybe this is a problem with the 2006 hemis that Chrysler has kept secret from us.

I had the same stalling issue in 300c 2006 (hemi 5.7) , fuel tank replace didn't resolve the problem , the issue was caused by wrong spark plugs installed by a mechanic (Champion RE14MCC5), after I changed it to the correct ones ( Champion RE14MCC4 ) stalling issue disappear , also OBD Codes was cleared.
