Just curious what could that loud boom possibly be coming from the transmission area I still have my forward gear do not have reverse and there's no codes was running fine up until it made that sound and then it just wouldn't move transmission wouldn't function nothing's leaking either from it. I was able to let it idle in drive so I could move it. But now it won't even do that. I was trying to do this last night. Then all of a sudden it locked up on me. With the engine on and no matter what gear it's in, I can't even push it forward or backward. As long as the engine is off. That's the only time I can move it.

I have the exact same car and it did the same to me, same model and engine n everything :/ i was on the highway when i heard the loud boom. The car was still moving up until i started to slow down when i exited onto the ramp, and that's when the car stopped and I was hearing some metal on metal stuff going on and it sounded like the transmission. I'm praying that it's just the transfer case because i have been hearing that sound, maybe just not as loud as i did on the highway, but i have heard that boom sound a few times before when shifting from like park to drive or reverse and whatnot, and before you ask, yes my foot would be to the floor when switching gears. It might've shifted by itself while driving and maybe that's what caused that loud boom. These are some of the symptoms of a bad transfer case, the car shifting by itself. And yeah my car is up in the air right now and it was basically impossible to move while it was on too.
