my car manual says 5 30 oil i perfer 15 40 any problem with the 15 40

if your looking for better protection.switch to fully synthetic 5w-30 as the 15w-40 is to heavy a weight and could do more harm then good.
Well if it doesnt get to cold you dont have to worry about voiding a warranty there then you should be fine. Your fuel consumption will go up but it most likely wont be noticeable over a one tank period
