Dude your take it to a pro comment are anal but lets get on the subject does it sound like a raoring sound almost like the car isnt shifting and once you get up to speed you dont hardly hear it most likely its the clutch fan and there will not be a code that comes up on the dynostic telling you the problem do not buy the fan or have it fixed at a gm garage unless you want to pay around a$1000 to fix it the fan cost around $250 at advance auto parts cost is around another $200 to have it installed depending on the shop
