low idle and no power

What is your question?

I went off roading with my escape and yes i hit some puddles. the vehicle ran fine. on the way out the trails i hit the last puddle and the battery light came on. I shut the SUV off and let it sit for 5 min. started back up and SUv ran like shit. in park wont rev any higher than 2,000rpm's. in drive vehcile wont shift right and won't go any faster than about 15 miles per hour at around 3000rpm's. any one have any ideas what it is?
