An oil change would be a good start. It sounds like you have a lot of debris and and dirt in the engine. If you don't do regular oil changes and it's been a while since your last one, I recommend an engine flush to make sure you clear out the dirt in your engine then put some fresh oil. As for the pan, it should be pulled off and inspected for any loose metal, which is a sign of a bigger repair than just an oil flush/change.
