light for control panel is burned out

I am going to guess it's the a/c heater controls, only because I am having a problem with the ones in my 99 Camry. It is a big pain in the "you know what " to get this panel out. You have to take out the center console, the lower dash panels on both sides , then the center dash just to access the control panel then that has to come out and it not even clear that the lights are replaceable.
