Leaks oil

sure, where is the leak coming from??

seems to be both from on top as well as below - It leaking pretty bad - a good 3-4" spot in 20 minutes or so. We had a guy tell us $500 plus parts.

because there are so many places it can leak, did he tell you where it was coming from??
i suspect oil pump drive unit but hope you can verify that.

Oil is liquid' do to gravity liquids go from top to bottom. You start with the Valve cover gaskets and clean reinspect. Just because there's oil on the bottom doesn't mean you have an oil pan gasket leak. Try cleaning the engine off as best as you can, put dye in it, drive it alittle till you see oil again then use a UV lite to see where the leak is
