Key won't turn in ignition after getting stuck. how to remove metal cowl?

After getting the key stuck in the ignition and yanking it out I now can't turn the key at all. I have obviously damaged the tumbler. On trying to remove it. I cannot get the metal cover off the lock assembly. I have taken the plastic covers off the lock nd steering column but can't get the metal cover off that goes over th etymology let. Any ideas? Thanks
