What can be done about the key fob not starting the car or locking the doors

Sounds like perhaps something else is going on here. Has the battery that was installed be checked too ensure is its fully charged and capable of sustaining a load? Not sure why locking the doors would be a concern, unless it's seeing a door not closed completely. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
