What is your question?
I had lost my carkeys. Long story short, I used a drill 3/4 up the keyslot to try and make it turnable without the key. Needless to say it did not work. Now I have my keys, but the key will not turn at all. I tried lightly tapping it with a rubber mallet, turning the wheel, jiggling the key and any combination in between. I figure I will have to replace the lock cylinder. Can I remove the old one without turning the cylinder? How can I remove it? Can I use a toggle switch until I can replace it? You dont have to tell me how to do that part, I know people could use that info for illegal stuff. I just need to know how to remove the lock cylinder to access the wires or replace the cylinder?

You cannot just put in a toggle switch as the mechanical part of the steering lock will still operate. Call a local mobile locksmith they often have automotive experience and are cheaper than having the dealer or auto repair shop remove the lock. There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You get a one year subscription to year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual try http://bit.ly/Mitchell_DIY_Repair_Manuals and get an online repair manual subscription.
