It will turn over but wont go into drive or reverse

If you remove the soft rubber housing at the base of the shifting arm, you will see a small "pin" that locks into place when the truck is in Park. It simply gets sticky; if you WD40 it or put a drop of oil on it then work it back and forth a few times, it will stop sticking when you put it in Park.
