What is your question?
A friend took her truck into the dealer and while there they had to change the transmission oil due to a problem. Upon questioning the mechanic stated there was a problem and the transmission will have to be flushed three more times to correct the problem. He did not elaborate as to why only that there was a problem but no recalls. It is under warranty. Is it possible that there are filings in the transmission and has any one else had a similar problem?
How long has your 2019 Chevrolet Colorado had this problem?
Just started and identified by the dealer

Hello, sometimes due to calibration concerns, the transmission oil can become compromised and need to be replaced. Because "draining and filling" the transmission is predominantly the way to replace the fluid -- and only a certain amount of fluid comes out each time -- it is necessary to service the transmission more than once to refresh more of the fluid. Usually transmission fluid is replaced or refreshed due to effects on the friction modifiers in the fluid breaking down, not so much due to debris or metal filings. I would expect this to be a good repair and have no further repercussions going forward.
