Is it common for antefreeze to leak from timing cover?

Any coolant leak (whether common or not) is likely to cause additional more costly repairs if not quickly addressed. Loss of coolant can cause the engine to overheat and sustain permanent damage. If you are doubting that it's leaking, then I would recommend cooling system pressure diagnostic test to confirm the source of coolant leaking.
