There is a problem with the traction control or/and ABS system(ESP = Electronic Slip Protection BAS = Brake Assist System). You need to get a computer diagnostic done to see the cause of the problem. Zee Well, if you don't like my answer get a manual......

I took the 06 Jeep Limited to the dealer and he said the reason the traction control light came on and stayed on was a broken clockspring. He said we needed to take off the wheel and replace for a cost of $270. I haven't done it yet since I've seen different explanations of the cause under the Car Encyclopedia heading of "Traction Control Warning Light". I hate to go on a fishing expedition and pay for different repairs when I'm not convinced that they have the right answer. I wonder if anyone else has this experience to share?
