Im not getting any heat from the vents

Hello, hoses get warm -- OK -- but do they get scalding hot where you can't even think of touching them? That's how hot they need to be. Think: 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Warm hoses turn into cool air when a high speed fan blows through the heater core. I would first think of engine temperature. What does the engine coolant temperature sensor say the engine temperature is when checking with a diagnostic tool? If the engine is at operating temperature, you could also have a climate control problem present inside the vehicle.
