how do i install a ignition lock and cylinder for 1993 lexus es 300

here ya go: On models with air bag system, disarm airbag system as outlined under Technician Safety Information. Remove steering column. Disconnect ignition switch connector. Remove screws and ignition switch from key cylinder and wire harness clamp, Fig. 15. Reverse procedure to install. On models with air bag system, rearm airbag system as outlined under Technician Safety Information. If audio system was disabled, activate as outlined under Technician Safety Information .
on my es300 it had special bolts holding the cylinder together to the column, and unless you have the special tool to remove them your not gonna get it apart and its better if you can pull the entire column for easier access. i had to cut the bolt heads off carefully with a small die grinder and then replaced them with hex head metric bolts in case i ever had to do it again.....after that, gettin the cylinder is pretty straight forward and easy and you'll need your key to rotate it to get the steering lock out of the way. good luck.
I have a 93 lexus es300 same problem so these ignition switches dont have a release button to remove the cylinder?
thank you but the ignition is in the dash board so do u know the instructions for that?
