My jeep has a bad coolant sensor, and two days ago the check engine light turned on within an hour it turned back off and then today my car died and won't turn on.

Not the sensor .. Hands-on testing by qualified personnel will be required.
Hello, The coolant temperature sensor can cause your vehicle to stall, but typically it can be restarted repeatedly without issues. It would also cause the gauge to flash over to full hot. If the sensor is bad, you should replace it either way. This is especially important due to the age of the vehicle.
For a successful outcome > TESTING for *proper* spark and fuel delevery MUST be performed before 'any' repair is attempted.. Installing parts for trial and error purposes can become expensive!
