Check the coolant level if it is low the idle will fluctuate. A failed coolant temperature sensor vacuum leak or idle circuit control problem will all cause idling problems. A professional scan tool allows sensor values to be looked at without having to do intrusive testing at each sensor.

someone told me to change the map sensor and that should solve the problem. My element was doin tbe same.
