What is your question?
When my vehicle is started around two or three hours after the last start-up, it idles high (1000-1500rpm)for well over five minutes at times before it settles to around 500rpm. This happens even when the outside temperature is hot. Often times I would have to start driving before the idling settles down. What needs to be done?

Check the coolant level, low coolant level can drive the idle speed crazy. The engine uses an idle speed control motor that be malfunctioning.
